it's that time of year again!
the boys have been looking forward to it for weeks.
the dad has been looking forward to it... well, probably all year.
they cut
they shaped
they sanded
they painted
they raced!
and the winner is....
thing 1 took 1st
thing 2 took 2nd!
woooohooooo!
way to go boys!

I have a love/hate relationship with the pinewood derby.
do you love it because it's fun for the boys and hate it because maybe the dads get maybe a bit too involved!? the dad just loves working on the cars and coming up with ideas. i have to remind him many times that it is the boys project and that they need to be involved. he tried to set up an adult derby in our ward but it never went anywhere. oh well!
Congrats to Thing 1 and 2... but especially to The Dad! Bet they're all thrilled.
The Boy's derby is coming up sometime here. Gotta find out when. We've been so busy with the baby's room! Aye-yi-yi!

We talked about an adult derby in our ward, but it never took off either. It must be more fun to win through the kids!
We just had ours too. Snacker was dying to be involved, I shoulda thought ahead and had him make a car. Poor boy.
